Hi, very interesting idea from Joan. Tourism businesspeople in Indonesia could do that to increase traffic to various other attractions. Java Island is located relatively close to the island of Bali could be a project for this. With many cultural attractions and historic sites this will be easy to do and will have consequences on the economic side of society there.

Of course, Indonesia Java International Destination has a vision that tourism industry will provide a positive impact on the economy if managed correctly. Potential of tourism on the island of Java is huge, with many objects that can be promoted and various folk arts that support tourism, the Indonesian government must be capable of packaging with an attractive image. Hopefully, Indonesian tourism can benefit greatly from Indonesia Java International Destination event.

Yes, there are positive effects of tourism on the economy. If people on the island of Java can pack their art and souvenirs with the image that attract, the tourists will spend their money happily. Bali has been doing it, and we can say the main industry on the island of Bali is tourism itself. They come in various types include hotels, restaurants, lodging, travel agents, rental vehicles, crafts and other souvenirs to give people jobs.

Indonesian culture is unique with many ethnic and language. While Bali is popular, i appreciate Joan idea about the promotion strategy. It is possible to make the tourist stay longer in Indonesia by offer them interesting package to another destination in Indonesia such as Java, Borneo or Celebes Island. Nice to see your site promote Indonesia tourism event.

Yes George, i agree the travelers should explore more about Indonesia, many exciting place and tropical weather should be interesting.

@Joan, about the promotion strategy, you give a good idea, that is brilliant to take advantage of the tourist which already in Bali. But i don’t know how often Indonesia government care of this niche, let’s see in this year about their promotion method.

Beautiful country with thousands island. Indonesia government should take advantage about that fact and manage their tourism promotion more visible and effective. Smart way is to use Bali popularity, just pick up the travelers that already in Bali and make them interested to explore another island in Indonesia. This is less expensive yet more efficient than doing promotion abroad .
